About the Role
The HR Generalist / Business Partner serves as a trusted resource to managers and employees, balancing tactical HR administration with strategic initiatives that support TRUE Construction’s workforce. This role focuses on employee relations, recruitment, and benefits coordination, with opportunities to advance into management as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities
Act as first point of contact for employees and supervisors regarding HR policies and workplace issues.
Support the full employee lifecycle — onboarding, performance tracking, and offboarding.
Assist with payroll entry, benefits enrollment, and HRIS data management.
Conduct reference checks, schedule interviews, and help prepare offer letters.
Assist the HR Manager with employee investigations, coaching, and corrective action.
Support compliance with FMLA, ADA, and workers’ compensation processes.
Assist with internal training, safety documentation, and annual compliance courses.
Coordinate employee engagement events, recognition programs, and culture-building activities.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee files.
Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, safety, and operations departments.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of human resources experience (construction or field-based industry preferred).
Familiar with state/federal employment law and HR best practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and HRIS systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred (or actively pursuing).
